Human Consulting Group (HCG), led by CEO Jaehyun Park, announced on the 2nd that it has obtained the international information security certification ISO 27001:2022 and the domestic Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification for its HR solutions and services.
The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is an international standard for information security management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). To achieve this certification, organizations must successfully pass audits covering a total of 133 detailed assessment criteria across 11 areas, including human, physical, and technical controls.
The ISMS (Information Security Management System) certification is a system jointly regulated by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission in South Korea. It requires organizations to meet strict standards on the effectiveness of their management systems for personal information protection, compliance with legal requirements, and their ability to respond to security incidents.
The increasing number of data breaches is not just a problem for the victims whose information is compromised; it also causes significant consequences for the companies responsible for the breaches, including reputational damage, loss of customer trust, and substantial financial losses. As a result, many companies are focusing on preventing and protecting against information leaks by introducing new systems or enhancing their existing ones.
